How to reach the Hotel

The Hotel Il Nido is located 5 km far from the center of Sorrento, along the road leading to Sant’Agata sui due Golfi .

Reach Napoli Centrale Piazza Garibaldi Train Station (Trenitalia). Once here, the best way to reach Sorrento is by Circumvesuviana Local Train (which can be found on the lower level two flights down of the main station Napoli Centrale). Sorrento is the last stop and the journey takes approximately one hour.

Once in Sorrento reach Piazza Antiche Mura to take the free Shuttle Service.

You can also reach us by public Sita bus.

From the North or South, direction to follow is Napoli (Naples). Coming from Rome, once in Naples look for the A3 signposts “Napoli – Salerno” (Do not follow the route indicated Salerno Only). Then take the Castellammare di Stabia (C. Mare di Stabia) signpost (just after Pompeii), which takes you through Vico Equense.

Follow the signpost Sorrento through the towns Meta, Piano di Sorrento and S. Agnello. After the Center of Sorrento you will come to a fork in the road.

Take the left signpost S. Agata sui due Golfi. You’re now in Via Nastro Verde.

If you drive with the help of a GPS point the address as Sorrento,  Via Nastro Verde, 62  avoiding any advice for shortcuts or alternative routes. Most of the navigators once at Grand Hotel Vesuvio said that you’ve reached your destination but just follow the road for 3 Kilometers more.

From the airport by bus: The best and cheapest way to reach Sorrento from Capodichino Airport is the Curreri bus line. Tickets are sold directly by the driver. The Bus stops in Sorrento is at the Circumvesuviana Train Station.

Once in Sorrento reach Piazza Antiche Mura to take the free Shuttle Service.

You can also reach us by public bus.

At any other time you can use the public bus to reach our Hotel. Buses leave from the Train Station in Sorrento and follow Via Nastro Verde Road. Ask the drivers which one is for Hotel Il Nido.

From the airport by car: Sorrento is 60 Km far from the Airport. Just follow Tangenziale signpost and choose direction Napoli and not Pozzuoli. Once in Naples look for the A3 signposted Salerno/Reggio Calabria – Penisola Sorrentina, then follow indication written in the part “By Car”.

From the airport by train: From Napoli, there is the Circumvesuviana train that connect Naples train station to Sorrento. The service is available from 06:30 am till 11:30 pm.

From the airport by hydrofoil: From the Airport take the bus Alibus to Piazza Municipio – Beverello Harbour and then reach the Port of Sorrento by hydrofoil. Once at the port of Sorrento, reach the Meeting Point to pick up the free shuttle service.

From Beverello Harbour Naples take the hydrofoil to Sorrento Port.

Once at the port of Sorrento, reach Piazza Antiche Mura to take the free Shuttle Service. You can also reach us by public bus.
